International level  Webinar on Data Analytics: Exploring Real Life Applications (27/08/2020)

The Department of Computer Science conducted an International webinar  on 27th August 2020 on “Data Analytics: Exploring Real lIfe Applications”. The platform used was Google Meet. Mrs. Sreekala M, Asst. Professor of Dept. of Computer Science hosted and served as the coordinator for the webinar. The speaker discussed about data analytics in exploring Real Life Applications.

National level  Webinar on Research Prospects in Deep Learning (06/06/2020)

The Department of Computer Science conducted a webinar which was held on 06th June 2020 on “Research Prospects in Deep Learning”. The platform used was Cisco Webex. Mrs. Sareena Rose, Asst. Professor of Dept. of Computer Science hosted and served as the coordinator for the webinar. This session opened up the world of deep learning and the opportunities yet to be tapped in this domain.

One day Seminar on Magnetize with Machine Learning (11/02/2019)

The Computer Science department organized an workshop on machine learning to the students from various colleges. The resource person were Ms. Sareena Rose, Sr. Divya O M, Ms Chinju Paul. They were taught  different machine learning algorithms and the scope of machine learning and  AI in IT industry. Students also got an opportunity  to acquainted the applications of machine learning with help of R Programming.

Dr. Madhu S Nair, Asst Professor, Dept of ComputerScience, Kerala University has served as the resource person for one day faculty development program on ‘Measuring Academic Research: Role of Journal Indexing & Scientometrics’ on 30 th April 2018.

One day Workshop on "Art of writing a research paper" in association with CSCTA (24/03/2018)

A faculty development program  on “Art of writing a research paper “ was organized by the Dept. of Computer Science in association with Computer Science College Teachers Association (CSCTA) on Mar 24th 2018, at Seminar Hall, Lisieux Block. The resource person of the day was Dr. Madhu S.Nair, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Kerala.  38 faculty members from various college participated in the workshop, and the workshop provided useful insights about writing a good quality research paper.

One day Seminar on "Inside Your PC" on 11/01/2018 

The Computer Science department organized a one day State Level seminar and Paper presentation competition for  students from various colleges . Students got an opportunity to acquaint with knowledge about the components, functionalities, limitations and potential improvements to microprocessors an OS.

Dept of Computer Science Organized a State level workshop on Android Programming associated with Kerala Computer Science Association on 14/01/2017. The targeted audience was faculty members from different colleges.

One day National Seminar on Role of Digital Technology in Democratizing Visual Media (06/10/2016)

The department organized a one day workshop on ‘Role of Digital Technology in Democratizing Visual Media’ on 06/10/2016. The orator was Dr. Sudesh Balan, IDC, IIT Mumbai. He also demonstrated various techniques to develop a short film. The students from different department were the participants.

One-day Seminar on Data Security in E-commerce and cloud Applications (28/09/2015)

Dept. of Computer Science organized a one-day workshop on 28/09/2015. Ms.Sumithra Binu, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Computer Science,Christ University, Rajagiri College was the keynote speaked and delivered a talk on Data Security Cloud Applications. Dr. Rajesh Ramachandran, Professor SN Engineering college talked about security issues in e-commerce. The resource person gave an insight into the issues and challenges of cloud computing and provides the tools needed to develop and deploy applications in clouds for e-commerce.

Dept of Computer Science organized a workshop on LaTex for state wide faculty members and research scholars / aspirants on 23rd of Aug 2014, Saturday from 10 am to 3:30 pm. Resource  Person was  Mr. Mahesh C , System Analyst cum Software Engineer , FISAT. He talked about the features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation using LaTex Software.
